Step. Step. Step.

I watch the shadow behind me shuffle its feet in unison with mine.

Step. Step. Step.

I watch the shadow by my side, steadily growing shorter.

Step. Step. Step.

I watch the shadow overtake me, growing longer and longer.

Step. Step. Step.

I watch the shadow in front of me fade away, and a shadow appear once again behind.

Step. Step. Step.

I walk past the last lamppost, and watch as my shadow fades into the shadows.

The only place where no shadows exist. Into the darkness itself.


Just about any object, save a perfect sphere, casts a different shadow when shone upon from different angles.

Some angles hide the imperfections. Some angles make it all the more obvious.

Humans, too, have many faces.

Usually we cant choose the shadow we cast, since we can't control where the light is coming from.
