Last Saturday was our faculty CIP, called 'Such a Waste'. They apparently forgot to put in the suffix "of time". The amount of time allocated to us to become karang gunis is so much that we were asked to do our rounds twice, with the excuse of "making sure those who weren't awake on the first round are awake to give us their random crap which they would have sold to real karang gunis anyway".
And we weren't even given horns or trolleys.
So anyway we were split into a few groups for the different buildings, and the group I got consisted entirely of juniors, five I think or something like that. Basically, 6 people, 1 building, 4 units per story, 11 stories (excluding the first). 1 guy gets to sit on the first floor with the much-envied job of 'looking after the newspapers and clothes so some real karang guni wont have a chance to steal it away', while the rest of us sweat it out and act like real karang gunis.
We face various occupational hazards, such as dogs- "WOOF WOOF". -looks around-. "eh why are we short of one person?" -sees head peeking out from behind stairwell-. And... well that's about all. Unless you include the risk of falling down the stairs while moving to the next level.
Unless my memory is starting to fail me, my group completed our block in about one hour plus and headed to the collection point to slack. Then we sat around not really doing anything until we were forced to make a second run because we had too much time -.-.
Anyway the whole thing ended somewhere around 2, and I headed home for a quick bath before going down to Marina Square with Aaron and Har.
Entered bowling shop around 3+. Left bowling shop around 10. FML.
Long queue is the win. Played pool with Aaron while waiting and sort of lost. Sort of won also, in a way. Spent alot of time walking around and basically doing nothing while waiting.
