This is probably my first fully coherent post in a long while.
Well, school has started for a couple of weeks now. And those couple of weeks have been rather instructive, even if not academically so.
For a start, some things are different from last year. Change in CT, change in GP tutor, splitting up of the physics class, lack of PW and more breaks (disclaimer- mostly only applies to me). Our new CT cum physics teacher seems to be quite nice although her voice somehow ends up irritating very easily... or so my classmates reflect to me. Personally, when I do listen I dont find her voice particularly irritating but I can see why others do. New GP teacher Colin Cheong, for whom I shall reserve judgment as I cant exactly decide on how good a teacher he is as of now. Hes definitely very smart and witty, but as a teacher I'm not so sure... in general quite a few people dont like him, as far as I can tell.
Timetable this year quite weird. Long clump of lessons together followed by equally long clumps of breaks, with a 150 minute break on Tuesday and a 180 minute break on Friday... More time to spend in the library at any rate.
Still have a long way to go before getting to where I should be academically. GP I can mostly ignore, Physics and Econs both require paying attention in tutorials to do well in (which I am horrendously horrible at), while for Math... never mind. Literature I'll just need to do some study on literary devices... content aspect I can mostly ignore. At any rate it wont exactly take a miracle for me to do well in my studies, but it sure will take alot of effort, and while I know I should put in the effort to do well 'should' and 'will' are two different things... not that I dont want to put in effort, but...
Another focus for me this year is bowling. It's been really on and off for me recently, and my last training with Aloysius finally revealed some glaring flaws in my style which I somehow picked up over the last few weeks... no wonder I had so much trouble bowling properly recently. My movements have become extremely jerky, resulting in loss of momentum and power, a bad habit I probably picked up from the times I bowled with extremely sore muscles... Anyway have a small competition this Sunday, hope I can iron out these problems in my style by then else I'll be literally throwing my money into the gutter...
Sigh. I'll have my hands full this year from slacking too much.
