Lorry has to be parked OUTSIDE the block of condos. Guess where our customer's apartment is... yea, you got it.... the most inaccessible one, located furthest from the entrance (Block 50) 5.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. - Carrying furniture from lorry to customer's apartment. GG 60kg crate storing a giant glass pane, freaking heavy and freaking hard to navigate through the lift and corridors. 6.30 p.m. - Find out that our ang moh customer wants us to unpack all his furniture from the packaging (not a part of our job). 6.30 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. - Penknife wielding skills + 1. The chairs, sofas and tables are wrapped in cardboard, and 30 minutes of honing my slashing skills by making as long cuts as I can without harming the furniture or myself ensues. By the end of it the entire corridor is littered with shredded cardboard and the string used to tie it down. 7.20 p.m. - Kind passerby who lives in the same corridor as our customer lends us a broom and a dustpan to sweep up the mess. 7.21 p.m. - Ang Moh customer gives me and my dad $20 tip each. 7.30 p.m. - Dad gives me $20 salary, about 2/5 of normal prices. 8.30 p.m. - Reach home. 9.10 p.m. - Blog.
