"Too long, see post"

"Some jackass programmer over at Square Enix is messing with my head by placing far too many 100s in the random number sequence. When my hit chance is 99%, I shouldn't miss more than once in a blue moon, much less three times in a row."

Slow days like these are days when I do my thinking. And being a VERY slow day, it should come as no surprise that I did ALOT of thinking. Of course, not much of it was coherent thought.

Firstly I have some criticism for the Primary School system in Singapore. It is of my opinion that Primary School, especially the first few years, teaches especially little. On the contrary, it forces one to adhere to their unusual methods and hence slows the learning process.

Lets look at Mathematics. From Primary 1 - 3, unless my mind is playing tricks on me I distinctly remember learning absolutely nothing, save the "model method", which was inferior to algebra, something I had already learnt then. Stupid addition questions, subtraction questions, basic equation questions, and counting up to 10,000 was nothing that couldn't be learnt from educational computer games and books, and primary school mathematics up to that point was a general waste of time. Furthermore, they introduced the "guess-and-check", also known as the "trial-and-error" method, which basically served to stupid-ify you if you already had the means to solve the question with algebra.

Having covered Mathematics, let us look at Chinese and English. The same thing applies, with nothing covered in school extending beyond what books are capable of providing. While it was novel to learn about past-perfect tense and such, reading sufficiently would give one a similar control of the English Language, and at the Secondary School level hardly anyone would be asked whether a term was in the present-perfect tense or the perfect tense.

Basically my point here is that Primary School was too slow-paced. It killed the learning spirit in me, and I believe it only adheres to those people whom have spent their childhood periods learning relatively little. I do not intend this as an insult to anybody, for whom it is inevitable that a disagreement would be present. However, assuming one actually read books from young, and/or played educational games, the first three years of Primary School teaches close to nothing. Neither is it much of a challenge.

Apparently I missed out on Science, which as memory serves, was introduced in primary 3. And assuming, of course, that my memory has not deteriorated, general knowledge from various encylopedias served as more than a foundation for primary school science. In fact, if one had studied various assorted encylopedias about general science, one would have little problem coping with the introduction of the fourth subject.

Of course, I do not blame the Primary School teaching system, or for that fact ANYTHING for the state I am in right now. It is, of course, only my fault that I am a lazy slob who can only become motivated to do anything when performing something in defence of what I believe in. Undoubtly it is also my own responsibility to bear the consequences of slacking, which I easily perform in excess, being the procrastinator I am.

Perhaps it has been wrong of me to speak of certain matters, be it jokingly or not. Perhaps certain people are unable to comprehend my non-serious tone. Perhaps, for that matter, some people have not realised that I am not serious 90% of the time when speaking to other people. Perhaps some people think that I am serious all the time.

Well, you can take this from me - I rarely speak my actual thoughts. I do not easily show anger, discomfort, or such expressions. I do not dislike people. I do not delibrately do things to piss people off.

I do things for my own entertainment sometimes. Harmless things, usually, at little or no expense of others. Some people may not be able to stand it. I don't blame them. I cannot stand myself either. I like to, in general, make fun of everything I see or hear - even if I respect it. It is of my habit to constantly comment about people's actions without intending what I say. It is, of course, my fault.

Am I deluded? Am I crazy? Perhaps so. What is wrong with me? This post is screwed. It has lost all sense of direction. I have no idea what I'm typing about.
